The Stanford University Fire Marshal’s Office (SUFMO) is your primary resource for all Fire Protection and Life Safety code compliance information. Review your project with SUFMO as early as possible. They have the technical expertise to ensure your project is in compliance with all applicable codes and can help you save time during the permit process.
Some services provided by SUFMO include:
- Code compliance consultation
- Plans Review requirements and recommendations
- Working as a liaison with fire inspectors and Fire Marshals
- Expedited Santa Clara County building permits through the Small Projects Program and Minor Systems Modification (MSM) Program
- Inspections for fire suppression and life safety
- Assist with coordinating fire system shutdowns
- CA Building Code Chemical Hazards Summary Report (CBC Report) Request
