Erin Efner
Erin joined Stanford University in January 2021 as the Associate Vice President of Land Use and Environmental Planning (LUEP), a division of Land, Buildings, and Real Estate (LBRE). Prior to joining Stanford, Erin was a principal at ICF, an international consulting firm. In her prior role, she worked on large land use projects throughout the Bay Area, focusing on environmental compliance and permitting.
LUEP’s focus is long-term planning and land stewardship. The group’s staff is comprised of individuals with professional expertise in the areas of land use and community planning, environmental regulation and permitting, transportation planning, mapping and spatial analysis, conservation biology, archaeology and historic preservation. LUEP works with partners in LBRE (and other university offices) to secure land use approvals from public agencies and to monitor compliance with permit requirements. LUEP is the lead in the LBRE department for the Santa Clara County General Use Permit.
