Facility Design Guidelines The Facilities Design Guidelines (FDG) is a set of guideline design documents, technical specifications, and detail drawings to be used by architects, consultants, and contractors in the design and construction of new buildings, infrastructure, and remodeling projects on the Stanford campus.
Seismic Design Guidelines (for Engineers & Architects) The location of Stanford's campus adjacent to major active earthquake faults warrants a high level of consideration for seismic performance. Stanford recognizes the importance of seismic engineering in the design of new facilities and in the retrofit of existing facilities.
The Guidelines for Life Cycle Cost Analysis (Oct 2005) Stanford University has a long history of designing and constructing quality building projects. In continuing this tradition, Stanford seeks to ensure that new and renovated buildings meet student, staff, and faculty needs as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Construction

Construction Fencing Specifications: Perimeter and Project Information The informational fencing concept and the standards were developed to inform campus users about building and site improvements and to provide a positive visual image at construction activity sites campus wide.
Construction Site Logistics and Coordination Policy This document explains the required procedures for construction site logistics planning and approval, site establishment, operations, and restoration.

Diversity and Access Office The Diversity and Access Office ensures University-wide compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning non-discrimination and disability access.
Department of Public Safety The Stanford Department of Public Safety is a full service police department that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For police, fire, or ambulance response, dial 9-1-1, or 9-9-1-1 from a University phone. Emergency assistance can also be obtained by using one of the nearly 100 Blue Emergency Phone Towers strategically placed around campus.
Stanford University Fire Marshal's Office Stanford University Fire Marshal’s Office (SUFMO) provides comprehensive services to the Stanford community encompassing all aspects of Fire Safety.
