Who We Are

The Real Estate Department is led by the Managing Director-Real Estate and includes over 20 staff members in the areas of Real Estate, Development, Gift Real Estate, Property Services, and the Stanford Research Park.

What We Do

The Real Estate department of LBRE manages and oversees the non-academic property on Stanford lands, which the Board of Trustees has designated for the production of income. The Real Estate department performs asset and property management, leasing, sales and acquisition, and development services for these lands on behalf of the University. The areas under management comprise a wide variety of property types, including hotels, medical and commercial office buildings, apartments, retail buildings, single-family homes, and agricultural lands. Among the list of properties overseen by the Real Estate Department are the following:

        • The Stanford Research Park
        • The Stanford Shopping Center
        • Classic Residence by Hyatt
        • Stanford Creek and Stanford Hills residential subdivisions
        • 2725-2885 Sand Hill Road office buildings
        • The Rosewood Sand Hill Hotel
        • 300 – 550 El Camino Real, Menlo Park
        • All agricultural leases
