Arrillaga Outdoor Education and Recreation Center

Project Description

The Arrillaga Outdoor Education and Recreation Center will be a two story, 75,000 gsf building, bringing new wellness and recreation facilities to the West side of campus. The project will include three basketball courts, weight training and exercise facilities, fitness studios, rock climbing, cycling shop, support for outdoor education programs as well as lockers and showers. Also included in the scope will be a new 50 meter swimming pool, replacing Roble Pool which will be demolished. While construction is closing off half of Roble Field, the East half of Roble Field will remain as a recreation field. In meeting Stanford’s sustainability goals, the project will be LEED Silver equivalent. The project is estimated to be completed in Spring 2013.
