Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge

Project Description

The Li Ka Shing Learning and Knowledge Center will include a full complement of teaching, learning, knowledge management, and public assembly facilities for the School of Medicine (SoM). The learning and information use practices and activities enabled by the new facilities will transform medical and bioscience education and training and contribute to the translation of discovery to clinical medicine.
The new LKSC will be located on the current site of Fairchild Auditorium. The 118,000 gsf LKSC building will house a conference center, classrooms, student study and social areas, and medical simulation and virtual reality environments on four floors above grade and a basement level. The basement will house the Center for Immersive and Simulation-based Learning.
